“ We had just landed in Kona and wanted to grab lunch before heading to our hotel. We agreed to try this local brewery. It's in an industrial sort of section of town. There are 2 outdoor patios and indoor seating. You walk up to the bar to order. They have a decent-sized menu of salads and pizzas and a few other things. I wish they had appetizers. The hubs got a beer sampler, which he said was good. I got a hard tea from a can and it was light and refreshing. We ordered the beet salad and the funghi pizza. The beet salad was tasty, with lots of beets, quinoa crunchy Mac nuts and mixed greens. A nice, healthy light meal. It was over dressed but I imagine that's not always the case. The pizza was very tasty and more like a flatbread. I prefer wood-fired, but it was good because of the flavors. ”
“ Ola Brew is one of our go-to spots on the Big Island. Their food menu changes slightly every so often, and I'm sad when some of the really good items are gone. But, they're usually replaced with items just as good! If you don't know what to get here, their pizzas are usually a solid choice. I got their beet pizza, which was so delicious! They are always so creative with their toppings and all the ingredients come together to make a great pizza. Their beet pizza had arugula and honey. The honey really brought the pizza together and paired perfectly with the thin crust. They don't have a lot of parking in their actual parking lot, but there is a good amount of street parking. There's indoor and outdoor seating, where you can sometimes catch a nice view of the sunset. Workers here are always nice and friendly. ”
“ We got a keg of hard POG juice (guava, lilikoi, and orange) for our recent wedding. Had actually reserved a different flavor a month prior and ended up wanting to change our mind to the other flavor the day we were supposed to pick up. Wasn't an issue and Ola was able to swap for the flavor we liked better. (The lilikoi orange was still yummy though!) The juice was a huge hit out our wedding, we thought people would be more interested in the Kona beer we got but I think Ola was the favorite of the night. Def recommend visiting Ola and choosing them for your event! ”
“ Beers? My favorite in Kona. Food? Solid. I personally think their cheeseburger is one of the best in town. Fish and chips were good. Fish sandwich...very tasty but the fish was like microscopic. My one beef was the wings. I thought they were not good at all. Tasteless. Sauce was not good. Dry. I would avoid. Get the beer, get the cheeseburger. You will not be disappointed. They should take the wings off the menu ”
“ Ola brew is one of our favorite spots when visiting Hawaii island. Not only are the beers delicious, but the atmosphere is perfect for dates, large groups, and visiting tourists/locals alike. A favorite of mine is the Kiawe porter, which is intermittently available in our local stores on Oahu. This round, also tried their dragonfruit Lilikoi milkshake IPA, which was so different than anything I've ever drank. We love how they utilize local flavors and trends, and tend to have a variety outside of straight IPAs on their menu regularly. In addition to beer, this community-owned brewery produces seltzers, alcoholic juices, and are breaking out in the spirit market. Many are available for sale in 6 packs as well at their storefront. We have tried food here, and for your standard bar/brew fare, we were pleased. And! They have TVs in case you're looking for a more laid back scene on a Saturday or Sunday for sports. Something for everyone! ”
“ Just a classic brewery. I got the burger and fries. The burger was pretty good and the fries were awesome! We got a flight... mainly for my husband (I'm not much of a beer girl) but I did love the strawberry guava cider! They had two little patios where you could sit outside and eat. I will say this building faces the complete opposite direction of the ocean. So there are no views, we could barely even see the sunset. Overall a good experience. Service was friendly and decent speed. ”
“ I got the smash burger and fries and it was so good. I loved the crispness of the patties with the American cheese, and the sauce and pickles with it was a great combo. The fries were super crispy and the ranch I got tasted homemade and so good. The ambiance here was great. I loved the dim lighting. The music was pretty loud so that's why I didn't give this place a 5. Although I know it's a brewery, it was just pretty hard to hear in there. Overall great place! ”
